6 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR TIRES

    Road Safety and International Road Fatality Control Organization have the knowledge on tire but the problem is, they only disclose this vital information to their staffs & personnel which is quite wrong, their staffs are thinly spread throughout an area by which they only help few people. To reduce road fatality and also the right thing to do, educate people on the facts about good & bad tires and that fact is what am about to disclose to you.


Some people might have notice this numbers imprinted on the side wall of their tires, this represented the manufactured date, meaning 30th week of 2011, take note of |11| in 2011 with the number above. The first two digits stands for the number of weeks and the last two digits stands for the last two digits of the year.


245/75R16 this figures are boldly written on the sidewall of tires which represents the size of tires and using the wrong size for the wrong vehicle can lead to car damage or fatality.
|245| means the tire WIDTH in (mm),
 |75| stands for height of sidewall (Aspect Ratio)in (cm),
|R| – Radial ply construction and |17| means diameter of wheel in inches.
